Simple Camping is specifically for leaders who have participated in day trips with their troop and are ready to plan camping activities. This class is a requirement for any type of camping and related activities, including camping in the back yard. After attending Simple Camping, you will be able to help your girls plan and prepare for a camping trip. You will learn to view camping as a Girl Scout activity and learn: to evaluate the girls' readiness for camping, how to involved the girls in planning, outdoor cooking methods, pitch, strike, and care for a tent, etc. This training is valid for a period of three years. There is a nominal fee for this training that covers the cost of the food prepared for the outdoor cooking portion.

This course is not considered valid without having completed the Moving Away from Your Meeting Place and Simple Overnight Independent Study packets.
